Never wire money, send gift cards, or “invest” in something a match recommends — these transactions are nearly impossible to reverse or trace. If a match asks you for money or financial help (even for an emergency), treat it as a red flag and report it immediately.

• Verify before trusting: Ask questions, video chat if possible, and trust your (or your mom's) instincts. Reverse image search or quick public record checks can provide peace of mind.

• Watch for red flags: Requests for money, pressure to leave the app quickly, inconsistent stories, or overly aggressive behavior. Report immediately.

• Stay on platform initially: Keep early conversations in-app for a record of interactions.

Meeting in Person

• Public first dates: Always meet in a well-lit, populated public place (coffee shop, restaurant, park). Arrive separately and have your own transportation.

• Share your plans: Tell a trusted friend or family member (or your mom!) the details — who you're meeting, where, and when. Use apps to share your live location temporarily.

• Limit alcohol & stay aware: On first dates, drink responsibly and keep your belongings secure.

• Trust your gut: If something feels off, leave or end the date. It's always okay to prioritize your safety.

By using KNOWSBEST, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines and Safe Dating Advice. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. We encourage moms, daters, and the entire community to report concerns promptly.

1. Who Can Use KNOWSBEST

• You must be 18+ (daters) or a verified mom/parent curator.

• Profiles must represent real people with authentic photos and information.

• Be yourself — no impersonation, fake profiles, or catfishing.

2. Respectful Behavior & Community Standards

• Lead with respect: Treat everyone with kindness, empathy, and dignity. No harassment, bullying, discrimination, hate speech, or offensive language based on race, gender, age, orientation, religion, or background.

• Authenticity matters: Share genuine intentions. No scams, manipulation, financial requests, or deceptive behavior.

• Keep it appropriate: No nudity, sexually explicit content, or vulgar material in profiles or messages. Respect boundaries around consent at every stage.

• No spam or solicitation: Avoid unwanted promotions, ads, or commercial activity.

• Mom-Curated Integrity: Moms and maternal figures act as trusted curators. Respect their role and community standards. Misuse of the platform (e.g., bypassing maternal approval) is not allowed.

3. Communication & The “Make a Date” Feature

• Conversations should stay positive and progress naturally.

• Message limit: We limit initial messaging via the “Make a Date” feature. This encourages meaningful exchanges and reduces fatigue before transitioning to real plans.

• When ready, the app prompts sharing phone numbers or other contact info to facilitate dates. Only share when you feel comfortable — this is optional and at your discretion.

• Move conversations off the app at your own pace, but stay vigilant (see Safety Advice above).

4. Reporting & Enforcement

• Report inappropriate behavior, profiles, or messages directly in the app.

• Our team reviews reports and takes action to maintain a safe community.

• We do not conduct criminal background checks but encourage users to use their best judgment and external resources when appropriate.
